SUMMER WHITE

Hello, Everyone :)Today I will bring you a ''little white dress'' outfit. This is the 3rd outfit for my 10 Days of Summer Style posts, and if you are just checking in then it's a series I'm doing during June and July...hopefully I won't go into August with these :D I will try to post an outfit for 10 occasions you are most likely to come across during the summer and give you a little insight into what I would wear to these outings/stayings :) So hope you enjoy the post :) Leave a comment on what occasion you are struggling to find style inspiration for :) Maybe I can help. This will be a ''Datenight'' outfit :)
The last time I wore this dress I was about 26 weeks pregnant and it was my baby shower :) It has an elasticated waist witch made it so comfortable with a tiny bump and now without the bump, the waist is being accentuated. I love a white dress during summer. I just think it looks so pretty with tanned skin, some gold and leather accessories and a nice peachy lipgloss.
I love the lace detailing of this dress. It is the cheapest brand that you can get but a good lace work always makes an item look more expensive than it actually is. It is so light weight so perfect for those hot summer days/nights. I would personally wear it for a midnight summer datenight :) Maybe add a darker lipgloss and a nice light cardigan or jacket :)
I went for a bit of a bohemian style with the accessories. I also thoguht of adding a belt, but since I am very short (5ft4) I liked how the all white dress just elongated me. And obviously the platform heels helped :D

WEARING:
dress - SELECT, heels - NEWLOOK, necklace - NEWLOOK, hoop earrings - random jewelery stand in DEBENHAMS :D rings and bangled - ACCESSORIZE, watch - OLIVIA BURTON

Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Stay tuned

MY LITTTLE BOX UNBOXING

Hello, Everyone :) I received this little cute box today in the mail, so I figured I'll do a little unboxing post for you. I know all these beauty subscription boxes are really popular and there are so many of them out there. I chose this one because it seemed to offer something a little different. And I must say I am very happy with my decision to go for it :)

The July monthly box theme is ''French Riviera'' and its a collaboration box with Sarah Lavoine, a interior designer. Inside there were all these lovely goodies, a pamphlet and a few cards with information about the products. Before I go into detail about the goodies have a look at the packaging....I mean COMEOOOON....it's so freaking cute. The box the whole thing comes in itself is worth the 14 pounds a month :D But I am slightly obsessed with nice boxes anyway so maybe I'm not the most biast person talk.

In this months box there was:
Keratine Thermique, Blow-Dry Care for Unruly Hair by Kerastase, RPR £19.50
Sunglasses Sarah Lavoine x My Little Box, £18
Sea Salt Fresh Scrub by My Little Beauty, £8.50 for 75ml
Planters duo, £6.50
Nails polish loved by Sarah Lavoine, £6.50

I am loving the Kerastase smoothing taming milk already. My hair is absolutely crazy and I can just see this being the saviour I need. The blue is such a nice sea blue I can't wait to try it on my toes :D I thought the sunglasses would look weird as my face is big and the sunglasses looked pretty small, but they actually look really cool. Sea salt scrub will come in handy when the sun gets tougher and the only thing I'm not too sure about in the box is the bags? for plants? anything? I don't know :D Maybe they will find good use in the bathroom, but they are not refined enough in their shape for me to put them anywhere else is the house....maybe outside? :D I don't know.
All in all this box is AWSOME and I think everyone deserves a bit of French in their life ;)

All the products (apart from the Kerastase hair care product) are available at My Little Corner and subscription for your own box can be made at My Little Box website.

Hope you enjoyed the post
I am planning to get back in track with my 10 Days of Summer posts...fingers crossed :D
Stay tuned :)

FRIENDLY LUNCH PARTY

Hello, Everyone :) The second outfit for my 10 Days of Summer Style includes greens, gold and tan colours. I love the combination of green and brown. The pop of gold just adds a little bit of fancy to it. And also it's there because of the rule of 3. I never go for just 2 colours in my outfit as it just looks very dated. I also try to add at least 3 extra accessories or items to my outfit. Either a jacket, a bag, a statement necklace, a hat, scarf... you get the jist.
The outfit I chose I actually wore for a lunch date with D and O. The only thing I changed was the shoes. It's just not very sensible to wear wedges that high with an active 10 month old :D But I would wear them when I would meet up with friends and could leave him home :D

WEARING: JEANS - forever21, SWEATER - zara, TANK TOP - h&m, WEDGES - select, EARRINGS - accessories, WATCH - Olivia Burton, BANGLE - gina tricot. BAG - new look

Hope you enjoyed the post :)

ACCESSORIES PARTY

Hello, Everyone :) It was such a lovely day today. The Sun was out and I managed to top up my tan. We had a lovely hour of fun with the paddling pool with O. The day and the tan were just asking for coral and aqua colours, but this time I decided to go with the blues. Mostly because orange is really not my colour as of yet :D And this post will mark the first of my 10 day summer outfit series. I will try to go with occasions rather than colours. So I guess this will be a good outfit for a nice summer evening cocktail party on the rooftop bar. Skip the wedges and some of the accessoires, add some pumps and it will be a walk in the park outfit :D But since I'm planning to do a park outfit anyway, lets leave it to this one being a ''rooftop'' kind of thaaang ;)
I wanted to go all out with the accessories this time because it just felt like an accessories party kind of outfit. So simple and summery...I think it just needed to be livened up with some pretty arm and ear and neck candy :D
Wearing: BLOUSE - New Look, SHORTS - H&M, NECKLACE - H&M, RINGS - New Look, EARRINGS - gift, SUNGLASSES - Storm (mens), SHOES - New Look

The sunglasses are actually Ds :D He said they are too girly, and I guess I'm not helping him by wearing them like they were made for me :D But they do actually look very nice on him as well. Can't beat a good pair of aviators right?

Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Stay tuned for tomorrows post.

FASHION CLASSICS

Hello, Everyone :) Today I will kind of continue the style of my last post. It has something to do with a wardrobe but mostly with style. You know how fashion changes with seasons but style is something that lasts longer. Well today I will share my fashion classics with you. I'm talking about those items that I just can't live without. Those pieces of clothing/accessories and shoes that continue to play an important part in your wardrobe year after year. I'm sure these are different for different people, so I won't be guessing what majority of you will have as their staple pieces, but instead just tell you about mine :)

White Button Down
This is a definite staple. Wear it with jeans, shorts, skirt...Dress it down or make it fancy. I don't mind spending a bit more money on this item to get a better quality and fit.

Black Dress
I don't think I need to say anything about this one. It's just a must. I am loving my Gino Tricot jersey wrap around dress with a plunge neckline. It's so simple and classy.

White Blazer
This not for everyone. But I love my buttonless white blazer I got from H&M about 2 years ago. I wear it with everything. It works with colour and as part of a white or white and black ensamble. It's one of those wear it down or out kind of items.
Black High Heeled Sandals
Again I don't think I need to explain myself here. My favourite pair is from River Island. The one main thing is with these, that they have a slim high heel and they are strappy.

Blue Jeans
I mean those classic blue jeans. Not distressed or anything. Just really nice dark navy blue jeans. I love jeans anyway. Angelina Jolie said that she doesn't have a single pair of jeans at home because she would end up wearing them all the time. Well I don't mind wearing them all the time :D I like mine mid-rise but skinny. But I do want to try out the flare again.
Flat Shoes
For me it's all about the espadrille. For summertime at least. I got my leopard print from H&M but I will be upgrading to a more sturdy pair for this season as I went through two pairs last summer :D

Tan Bag
It's not the size the shape or the style that matters here. It's about that classic tan colour. I'm not a big fan of slouchy bags so for me a nice shape is quite important. I like a shopper style and I also like the classic trapeze shape.

Hope you enjoyed my little fashion classics post :)
I am starting a 10 day series tomorrow where I will share one summery outfit a day with all of you :)
So stay tuned, everyone :)

CLOSET CLEAROUT

Hello, Everyone :) Yesterday I received my Louise Roe book called Front Roe and there was a chapter about closet organisation. So I had a look at my rails and thought....WHY DO I NEED ALL THESE CLOTHES. She was completely right about women only using 15% of their wardrobe. I know all my clothes are right in front of me all the time, but I still don't use most of them. So I figured I will clear out my rails and only have things I actually love and use daily on them with a few added extra pieces for those ''more special'' moments and days.
This is what the rails looked before I went on a mad clearing out spree. I had organised it already into categories when I got the rails. So I have my sweaters, blouses, skirts, dresses and things all together in their own space, but there are just too many of them. I've gone more colour coordinated this time round.

This is what was left :O It is slightly scary, but I love the new cleaner and more organised look of the rails. I can definitely see myself using more of the things on there now. (It got dark by the time I finished, so the lighting is different :( and I don't have lamps...like the photography lamps not normal lamps...I have those ;) :D)
What I still think about doing:
I need to get a shelf in the middle of two rails for things that are just easier stored folded up. Like jeans, t-shirts, sweaters. I'm thinking the BILLY bookcase from Ikea.
I also ordered some clip hangers for skirts :)
What did I do with the rest of my clothes?
Seasonal clothes that I know I will wear again come Autumn/Winter time I stored in Oscars bedroom (he has a massive built in wardrobe that is half empty. It's where I keep the linens and towels and winter coats)
T-shirts and tops and jeans and about a 100 sweaters that have seen their days but are still actually ok to use I put in a charity bag. They put these bags through our postbox and even come to collect them. No hassle and they will go into good use.
Things that were just too used and beat I just threw away. I mean I had shirts with holes in them :S BUY WHYYYYY? I don't know :D

And now there is more room for me to go shopping again :D
Just kidding...or am I...I mean there is room :D
Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Let me know if you've done a closet clearout recently? Are you loving it? Regretting it? I love hearing all the stories :)
Stay tuned by following ;)

Weekend Away

Hello, Everyone :)
If you follow me on INSTAGRAM then you might have noticed that we had a little weekend away trip. We had a chance to go to the newest Centreparcs in Woburn for 4 days and spend a lovely weekend there. It was a nice break and it just hit every mark as to what we were looking for and expected. As D said, you think of something you would like and soon you will find out they have it :D (that's not a quote by the way, but it was something along those lines :D) What I'm trying to say that for a family who has a child under one it was the perfect place to go to.
We arrived late Friday afternoon around 5pm. Check in starts at 3pm, but we had to go with O's schedule rather than anything else. It was actually a rather fast journey. train for 50 minutes and another 20 in a taxi and we were there. Most people drive there but obviously we don't drive. The thing is that if you drive you can drive up to your cabin and drop off your things and then go and park, but since we arrived in the taxi, the people in the reception were nice enough to get one of the security cars to drop us off to ours instead of us having to walk for 15 minutes with all our luggage and a baby. We stayed in a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom lodge with a sauna. 3 bedroom one, because it was kind of a last minute thing and that was all they had left. As in there was no need for all 3 bedrooms, we would've been fine with just 1 :D (I don't think they have 1 bedroom ones) We would've been fine with just a 2 bedroom one. The good thing about the big house was that it did have a sauna at the back :) SO guess it was worth it really.
The whole place was in a really nice setting. They had 4 different areas with houses/lodges/bungolows ?  I don't know what to call them :D and then in the middle they had a lake and a plaza with a sports centre and spa and then another centre with a subtropical swimming park and lots of restaurants. And it was all surrounded by a nice pine forest :D We loved the water park the most obviously because O is obsessed with water :D But enough chit chat. Here are some pictures we took. If you have any other questions about the place or the trip, leave a comment and I'll be sure to answer :)

Hope you enjoyed the picture overload :D

May Favourites

Hello, Everyone :)
It's that time of the month again :/ not that...the time of the month where one month has ended and the other one is starting. So I decided to do a monthly favourites post, because I found some favourites last month :D As you do. I am also thinking of doing a post about what's new in the drugstore department. SO if you would like to read a post about my finds and little reviews before you go on a shopping spree, let me know :) Or if you have another suggestion on what you would like to read about on my bloggy blog .... leave a comment, write me a letter, send me an email...you get the deal :D
These are all the products I have been loving. Some of these are actually old products I've rediscovered :) But I shall go through all of them separately :)
1. I will start with my absolute favourite. The Simple Clear Skin oil balancing cleansing wipes - Zinc PCA goodness for healthy skin. These are something I just picked up for those days where you can't be bothered with the whole routine and just need to wipe the day away splash some water in your face and go to sleep :D BUT they are so amazing I now use them every day. I don't know why they are different from the wipes I've used before. They are definitely more thick and also a lot softer. They remove make up brilliantly and leave my skin super soft. Highly recommend these if you like using wipes to take off make up or to just clean your face. I also use them in the morning after I've washed my face. They do say that they are oil balancing and I do tend to get a bit oily sometimes in the t-zone, so they are awesome to start the day and moisturising enough for me to not need to use cream...which I still do sometimes.
2.Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Restore + Night care cream. This is by far the best night cream I have used recently. I got it from Superdrug when they had an offer on for less than half price on some of the skincare products and only payed under  3 pounds for this. Best 3 pounds I've spent on a cream :D It has a really silky yet gel like consistency and at first it looks like it's going to stay on the skin rather than absorb, but it does. And then you wake up with super moisturised yet silky not oily skin and I swear it works on those blemishes as well. Also after starting to use the cream I have noticed that my forehead has a lot less visible lines and wrinkles :)
3.Weleda Skin Food for dry and rough skin. This was a Christmas gift and I hadn't even used it until last month. Mostly because I just don't use moisturisers...because I'm lazy. Honestly the most cream my skin gets is when it's summer time and I have to use sun protection :D But I started noticing some dry skin on my elbows and also on the top of my legs so I figured I'll try it out. And I love it. The only thing I don't like about this cream is the smell. It has a really weird creamy smell....like you know...it smells like cream :D But since I don't use it as an all body moisturised it doesn't really bother me. Other than that it's AWSOME. I have also tried it on my heels as they get a bit dry, and it works.
4.L'oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss in 302 Hot for Hawaii. I am not really a big fan of glosses  that are all gloss and no colour. But this gloss, that only leaves a slight pink shine and a lot of watery gloss smell like watermelon and reminds me of this Bodyshop lip balm I use to use all the time. And for that reason, the reason that it brings back good memories, it is my favourite. Also I quite like that the gloss is not actually sticky and I can just add it on top of any lipstick and it leaves a beautiful shine :)
5. Barry M nail paint in 303 Bright Purple and Revlon nail enamel in 050 White on White. I had time to do my nails the other day in like a very very long time :D And these colors just came right at me from my box of varnishes. I love the dark purple and I love the contrast between the dark and the white. I didn't do anything crazy like 1 after the other. I just went for purple on my nails and white on the toes. But I do love love the colours. The only downside of the Barry M nail varnishes is hat you have to put on 3 layers and it does come off pretty fast.
6.Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge . This is a dupe for the famous beautyblender, but it's only 5 pounds :S There are some differences between the two obviously, but I'm not a professional so I really don't care about the small stuff. And this little sponge works very well for me. I know Real Techniques have featured in quite a few of my posts lately, but the only reason is that they are so amazing.

And then I have 2 beautiful necklaces. One of them is actually a set of 2. The Forever 21 set of 2 beautiful necklaces. One of them has a moon and the other one is just like a stick :D And since one of them is shorter than the other you can layer them. Only wear one or both. And it's really simple and pretty.
The fang is a super old buy from H&M, but it's that kind of statement necklace. I like how the chain has aged in time and is now a really cool coppery colour :D

And this is all for my monthly favourites. Hope you enjoyed the post. Maybe you found some favourites we have in common. Let me know if you have any suggestions in any department, let it be beauty, fashion, food, baby. I would love to hear them all. And then try them out for myself as well :)
Stay tuned
