 Life lately
Our date night started out as a bit of a disaster, as it was pay day weekend, the spanish restaurant I wanted to go to was full and there was an hour and a half waiting time on the door. We ended up going to a really nice italian restaurant called Cielo, in Brindley Place in the end, as all the restaurants in the Mailbox were looking as busy as Estilo.

I had the seabass, with spinach and lobster sauce with the side of vegetables and D had pork medallions with a side of fries.
And it was all good fun until at 1 am we realised the clocks go forward, wich meant I had work an hour earlier in the morning than I'd excpected. So we headed home around 2 :)
All in all a successful night though

Latest shop from boots. Since my usual facial cleansing products were running out I decided, I'll try something new. I bought the Nivea foam for dry and sensitive skin, as my skin has been feeling weird lately   ( I'm blaming it on pregnancy :D ) and I also bought Boots own brand Botanics facial scrub, it looks a bit rough though, so not suitable for every day use. For that purpose I found the Loreal Skin Perfection scrub...tried it earlier and it does leave my face really nice clean and smooth and not dry at all.

And then a little Revlon shop. I love the nail varnishes, and since it was 3 for 2 I got 2 of them in summery colors and also a brown/beige/pink smokey eye shadow set.

I am really liking all the offers and sales in boots at the moment, and I'm pretty sure I will be going there more than once this week. All this lot cost me 22 pounds and I'm collecting points on my Boots card so I can buy a premium brand product at the end of April :)

Also I signed up for their Mother & Baby offer and buying any of the products will give me 10 points for every pound spent rather than 4. And they are also sending me a welcome pack. Love me some free goodies and samples :D

And to end the post, some homemade cinnamon and chocolate rolls with spring time tulips :) I like to use puff pastry, as it makes the treats seem less bad as they are so light and airy.

Stay healthy and stay stylish girls :)

Just Friday

Not much has happened in the past few days. I was back at work again, so my days are mostly...wake up, have breakfast, work, and then have dinner at home.
I did make some cinnamon and chocolate rolls today, but the highlight of the day was going to Tesco. Bought myself some really pretty purple tulips and also got some creams, they were all on sale, so once I've tested them out I can say more about them.
Tomorrow on the other hand is date night. I'm stupidly excited, mostly because it's been pretty simple and plain lately and also because last time I went out with just D, was exactly a month ago.
So more posts to follow
Stay classy girls :) x

Throwback Thurday

Just a little blast from the past :)

I love this look. I remember I ended up wearing purple shoes instead, but the ones on the picture are Michael Kors, I'm not a big fan of platform heel, but the gold cap in the front makes them so much more better. The dress is New Look

This was a company christmas party about 2 years ago. I'd just come back from States, which explains the amazing tan :D Dress is asos and bag Warehouse but the best part is the leather jacket. I got it about 7 years ago from Primark, all the original buttons have come off, but the jacket itself still looks new :)

Our companies awards...Me with my bestie. White dress is again from asos, but since I can't do laundry, the underskirt has shrunk, which means I can only wear it as a top now :D

Nothing better than all black. I borrowed all these clothes from my sister...but hey, what are sisters for then?

In Tenerife. The shoes are my favorite, they were only about 50 pounds from River Island, but go with everything. Wearing silky orange shorts from Primark. I regret not getting them in different colors, as they are so comfortable and so cheap.

This is just half of our card from our trip to New York. The pen line shows where we walked....we walked sooo muuch.
That is all for now, since I just got a new computer, most of the pictures are still in the old one.
Have a great Thursday
xoxo

I've just realised it's Wednesday.....It might be my pregnancy brain :D today at work I kept forgetting words in my centences :S :D

Last Day Off

Since it was my last day off today, and D also had to take a few days off just to use up the holidays before the end of the tax year we decided to do something together, which doesn't happen very often these days.
But the weather was so crap, we only managed to go for a coffee. And treated ourselves with a slice of chocolate cake (shared 1 slice, so not too bad)
We went to Nero Coffee that just opened on the square where I work and I must say, it's like any other Nero Coffee place i've been to :D

Mine is a soy latte and D had a mocha, like always

After the coffee D went to the gym in a long time, actually for the first time, since we moved to the new flat :D And i took a nice walk back home by the canals

Like alread mentioned I made some soup for my lunches at work and probably a few days at home, since I made soooooo much. But it came out really good and since i'll be freezing it, it doesn't really matter.
I also bought a huge bag of fresh spinach so for dinner we had fishcakes and salad. Most days it is either fish or chicken, I should really start eating more meat, but saying this, D made steak yesterday.

His and Her portion sizes. D also added some cubbed cheddar to his salad but no cottage cheese.

Feeding time

Not a lot going on in the baby department. Except that I'm trying to eat more this week, since I have lost some weight. I think it's because of the stupid cold that i've had for over a week now, so I try to get all the extra vitamins I get from fresh fruit and veg and eat more substantial meals.

My usual lunch, multigrain bread with some ham ad cucumber and soup. My juice is usually half juice half water
I try to have a bigger lunch these days, because D likes to have his dinner around 8, which is a bit too late for me, but we try to have dinner together most of the nights so a nice lunch keeps me going until then. I also have a snack in between, which is usually a plate of fruit, I like to cut up a banana and orange and an apple, so I can just pick on different flavors :D

Product I love at the Moment

So I recently changed my perfume. I have been using Calvin Klein euphoria for years, but decided to go for the new edition called ''endless euphoria'' this time. Still pretty much the same, but i felt like it was lighter and fits the summer season better.

I've got a pretty straight forward skin routine, which keeps my skin clean and blemish free and I also used to go to sunbeds, which used to be really helpful for me, but because of the pregnancy hormones my skin has gone really bad, and I find I need to do more to it, now that i've had to cut out the tanning sessions.
So on top of the usual daily wash and light scrub I use ESPA essential cleansing mask at least once a week, it draws out all the excess oils and impurities and makes my face feel really clean. It's a bit pricey (about 30 pounds) but it's so worth it, and since I've found myself buying less and less clothes... I don't mind spending a bit extra on the make up and skin products.
I use the Estee Lauder Idealist skin tone illuminator daily. Every morning and evening and have been for months, and I have to say it doesn't really work for me :D but it smells so nice and it was 65 pounds so I'm resiliant to use all of it and then try a different range.
The most recent buy was the Estee Lauder doublewear foundation, which was matched to my skin in the shop and I must say, I really do recommend it. I only used it today and only a light layer as I didn't leave the house, but it looks flawless and even after a nap (a day of doing nothing is very tireing ) it stayed on my face rather than ending up on my pillowcase. And my face does not look oily, which it does with most of the high street products.
For cleaning my face I use neutrogena products and they've worked really well for me. I use a grapefruit daily facial scrub and lime facial wash.
But like I said because of the pregnancy hormones I spend most of my time trying to cover up the blemishes and breakouts, because whatever I do, nothing seems to help. Lets hope the summer is not far, and I can have some sun on my face :)
Here's hoping xx

Little Outing

Non alcoholic shot
Yesterday I decided I'm sick of being sick so i went for a few drinks for my bf's friend. Since we have mostly common friends it's always safe to go to these events, because you know you'll have someone to talk to. Unfortunately we got there so late that everyone was already drunk, which meant I was feeling left out AGAIN, since I can't drink and everyone was doing birthday shots and taking a piss out of me for being sober...like I have a say in this :D . Anyway one of  my lovely friend thought of me as well in one of his rounds to the bar and got me this lovely half and half and grenadine shot. So i could cheer with the rest. Really small gesture, but made me quite happy.
I didn't stay long because there is only so much bar hopping one can do, on the other hand D didn't come home until  8 am, because he likes to go to gay bars...Not going to say anything, but he does end up in them most of the times he goes out :D
So now i'm a bit angry at him, because unfortunately for him I woke up at 6 and could'nt sleep until he came, so I had plenty of time to think of cenarious of why he isn't home. Unlucky.
Anyway I'm off for a bit of shopping with my bestie, will show the goodies i got later.
Have a great day you guys :)

Beginning

I started this blog years ago, but never posted anything on it, so now that I'm pregnant with my first child, I've realised I have a lot of time in my hands. Which gives me an opportunity to actually post and tell my stories.
First thing first...I am excpecting a boy, which we found out 3 days ago, and it's all really exciting. I am exactly 19 weeks and 6 days today, which means i'll be on the half way mark tomorrow. Another thing I found out...pregnancy last for 40 weeks, which is more like 10 months not 9. More time to prepare, excpecially because this little boy, was really not planned :D And preparing time is really what we need, we have still not purchased a single thing, and baby daddy hasn't even told his parents yet :S because he is a big coward :D

I'll post a picture of the bump, when one of my friends comes around. So far I've gained about 7 pounds, but just like my weight before all this, it's the same now...It really differs each day, so instead of worrying how much I've gained I'm just weighing myself once every week, just to make sure the weight that has to, is coming on.
Most days I eat pretty healthy, I crave mostly fruit - which is good, and ice cream - not so good :D But I've found out that the mini ice creams that come in the pack of 6 and 10 do the trick, they are usually under 200 calories and so cheap as well...I always look for an offer.

Second thing is that I'm still working and planning to do so until I feel like it. I work as a waitress, so not so glamorous, but i can choose my own hours and once the bump gets in the way I'm excpecting a lot of tips :D
I'm ill this week, so I only went on Monday, and I'm getting worried since work is kind of like my cardio and since I've been feeling poo I haven't really gone for walks other than that Tesco run for some ice cream. But I'm starting to feel better now, so hopefully next week I'll be back on my feet and running around like I'm used to.

And third, that is it for now. I'll try to upload a post every time something is going on, or i've found something I wanted to share.
Peace out :)
