Recent Beauty Buys

Good Morning, Everyone :)
Before I get to the subject of beauty, I just want to mention that today is the third day we are trying out the schedule to get O sleeping through the night. If you want to try it out as well, then this is where you can find it. I will let you guys know about the progress.

But back to the post now :)
I have done a few beauty purchases over the last few weeks, so I thought I'll share them with you all.

Firstly I must show you this makeup organiser. I have it in the bathroom, as this is where I do my make up. We get the morning sun on that side of the building, which makes it really great and light. I am planning to get a bigger mirror though just for no good reason :D
The drawers are not big enough to hold all my makeup, but it fits the things I use the most, so it's perfect. I got it from Amazon and it was about £20 pounds :) You can get these kind of containers from Muji, but they are a bit more pricey in there. I got the small 2 drawer one from there, that now hold D's razors and creams and things. I use old Douwe Egberts coffee jars to hold my brushes.

The second best beauty buy I've done, was getting these makeup brushes. You can find all of them and then some on the crownbrush website :) Use code SILVERSEPT to get 30% off the Backstage brush range :) Be quick though, because I've got a feeling this code only works until the end of September :D

I'm also trying out new shampoo and conditioner. Just because they were more than half price :) And a L'oreal heat protection spray(forgot to take a picture) because I blow dry my hair pretty much every other day and straighten my hair at least 3 times a week. The only problem with the heat protection spray is that its really slippery when it gets on the floor :D Me and D both almost fell on our asses the first time I used it. I really don't like the smell of the conditioner though, so I won't be buying it again once I've used up this bottle.

This conceal and contour palette by Makeup Revolution. The products of this brand are really cheap, but actually really cool. I got their bronzer and blush as well. And the colours are actually quite concentrated and stay on very well. I thought the creamy concealers will melt off with sweat, but once they are set with a powder they stay. I'll be buying a few of their eye shadow palettes as well, because they've got some funky ones :) I will start out with one in the beginning though, because they might not stay on as well as the face palette. I'll let you know how it goes.

L'oreal Micellar water. This is meant to just swipe off the day and get rid of makeup without having to wash or scrub...and I must say....it works. I actually think it's one of my favourite products I've tried recently and will continue to use.

Hope you enjoyed the post.
Stay tuned :)

Weekly Eats

Good Evening, Everyone :)
I mentioned in one of my previous posts that we will be doing a weekly menu to make deciding and food shopping a bit easier. And I figured I'll share our this weeks menu here since I'll be doing our weekly shop today. We've recently been using Ocado. We first tried it out, because we had a discount voucher for the first shop, but found their organic range really good. They also seem to have a lot more variety of different foods that you don't find in every supermarket.

Anyway...Here is our this weeks menu :)

Monday
Since the delivery won't come until tomorrow, we had to sort something out from what we ha left in the fridge/freezer. And since yesterday we had a healthy meal of seabass with greens and some rice I figured why not have a bit less healthy version of pasta bolognese tonight. I also managed to use up all the veg that was on the verge of going off (mushrooms, leeks, peppers)

Tuesday

Chicken Tuesday. This doesn't mean we will be having chicken every Tuesday :D Ocado does these chicken breasts, that are individually packed, which means they are easy to freeze and then defrost. I will be using the seasoning paper to cook and flavour them (no need for oil) and we shall be having a nice salad with avocado, tomatoes and mozzarella. Simple and easy but still healthy.

Wednesday

Fish Wednesday. Fishcakes with cous cous :)

Thursday

Beef Stirfry. We use to have chicken before, but I'm a big fan of bbq stir fry sauce which works really well with beef :)

Friday (My Birthday :D)

We will be going for dinner on the night (dinner time for us is 5/6 pm now, which is really eary compared to our pre-baby 8/9pm dinners :D) We won't be cooking at home.

Saturday

This is meant to be everything can happen Saturday, where we try out a funky new recipe, but we have guests coming over and then heading out, which means I'll make something that is easy to feed to a lot of people :D
I will be making my famous quiche (I'll add a recipe on a later date) and a fresh salad. I'll also be doing a funky bread, meat and cheese plate for snacks :)

Sunday

In England Sundays are roast days, but nor me or D are really fans of a big roast, so we will be having something else. And since we missed our anything can happen Saturday I figured, we can try something on Sunday. Haven't picked a recipe yet, so I'll be updating this one once we have decided.

I might add pictures of all the meals at the end of the week to this post and you can find it on the Food page :)

Stay tuned and hope you guys enjoy your week :)

Healthy Happy Life

Happy Weekend, Everyone :)
You can finally sleep in and make pancakes for breakfast, have a shower and start thinking of what to wear out in the evening....oh wait...you had a child a month ago :D
SO you wake up at 4am and then again at 7 am and just for good measure at 8am :D You probably won't have a shower until tonight just before you change into your pj's and pancakes are substituted by toaster waffles :) It's all worth it though. Our Tassimo coffee machine is a godsend and Starbucks hazelnut syrup makes it all fancy and s*** :D
It has been a week since I decided I'll get back to the healthy/clean eating waggon and it's actually going great,
I'm not saying I've stopped eating chocolate all together. I think it's important to keep it in balance and have that treat every now and then...or in my case, every day :)
I don't believe in depriving myself from something to the point where all I can think about is stuff I can't have. It's all about balance though. If I have an ice cream or that piece of cake then it's not about thinking ''oh well, I've started now, so let's make it worth it'' You fall of the waggon, you get right back on it instead of continuing to ''treat'' yourself.

Back to my week though. It's been a bit of a roller coaster, because I have been getting up a lot earlier. D usually does the morning shifts, but now that I'm breastfeeding more often there is no point. So I wake up and have my warm water with lemon and then my coffee. That all happens around 6-7 am. I won't eat anything until about 12 though, because I don't feel hungry that early in the morning.
Around 3pm we usually go for a walk with Oscar and then I'll have lunch when I get back. It's been either a sandwich or some smoked mackerel and cottage cheese. I try to sit down to eat it but sometimes with O fussing it takes me about an hour to eat :D All about making compromises.
And then about 6/7 we have dinner. We're actually going to make a weekly dinner plan, just to make it easier to plan our meals, but we are leaving Saturday for trying out new recipes and things we haven't cooked before :) ''Anything can happen Saturday'' :D And of course there will be meals out and a few take aways :D
My snacks have been fruit and an occasional yogurt :)

All in all though, I have done pretty good. I've also started doing some crunches to help my stomach go back to it's former shape and size and I get my cardio from pushing the pushchair around for at least an hour every day :)
And so far I have lost half a kg which is great and considered a healthy weight loss for a week, so I'm on track. If I keep this pace up I should be back to my pre-pregnancy weight in a matter of weeks. And I've got a reason to be extra good this week, because it's my birthday on Friday.
D's sister will babysit for a few hours, so we will get a good few hours of baby free time to enjoy some drinks and grown up company :D

Have a great Weekend and Stay tuned :)

Oscar Is One Month Old

What a month it has been. It seems like time has flown by, weirdly enough, since I thought days would drag. I won't linger long on that subject though...
I'll go through his little establishments for his first month now.

But first here is Oscar...1 month old :) He is not amused. Not a big fan of that swing :D

We have now got an idea of how days look like, which is great and gives us more chance of planning our days around him. He is definitely more awake during the days now, which makes me think that we really should get the play gym, because there is only so long he is interested in our hands :D

EAT
He feeds every 2-3 hours during the day, which gives at least an hour every now and then for me to do things I need to do around the flat.  I am still feeding him breast milk and formula (we are using the Hipp Organic infant milk). The main difference is that I am trying to breastfeed him as often as I can now. And I am using the Medela nipple shields to do so. It can get annoying having to put them on, but I figured, it's better to have him on the breast with the shield rather than not at all :)

SLEEP
He also seems to have 2 sets of longer sleep these days.
He sleeps for a good 2-3 hours after his 1pm feed, and then 3-4 hours after the 9pm feed. I'd much rather him take the longest stretch of sleep after the 1am feed, but I guess you can't have it all :D And I stay up during that sleep as D will go to sleep earlier so he can do the morning and give me a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. The rest of the naps during the day are quite short...usually just around an hour, and about 2 hours at night.
It is quite weird though, that he has already established a daytime nap and night time sleep. Clearly ahead of his time. D does keep saying he is a week older than he is because he was a week overdue :D I don't think that's how it works though.
nother thing I will try to do is put him down in his crib (co-sleeper) for one of the mid day naps, just so he would get use to it. But I'm a bit vary of doing it now, because we don't have the monitors and when I'm in the other room I can't hear his little cries...I'm paranoid I know...what can you do :D
So once we get the monitors I'll start practising that.

PLAY
Another thing I'd like to mention is that I am planning to get him a book at every month mark. So once it's time for bedtime stories we will have a good variation :) It's something I will definitely be doing....bedtime stories. I think it's just a great bonding thing and it's also really good for his development :) And a great part of bedtime routine. This month I got him this cute little thing :) It has a little finger puppet to help him engage :)

WASH
We are still not giving him a bath every night, so I just give him a so called sponge bath in the nights between the bath nights...so he does get clean :D I do want to start daily baths very soon though, we just need to start planning them a bit better. The thing is that I would want him to have it just before his long night sleep at 9-10pm, but D goes to sleep around that time :D because he wakes up early morning to take care of him for a few hours so I can get a few hours of sleep.

GROWTH
So my health visitor never turned up to weigh him, but I did do it myself. It's obviously not as accurate as the baby scale would be, but it gives us a chance to at least make sure he is gaining weight. SOOOOO according to our scale he is now 4.1 kg :) which is about 9lbs :) He now has also grown completely out of the newborn things that are for up to 3.5 kg babies...obviously. And is wearing the mid size and also 0-3 month size clothes.
He now also smiles so much :) and it's so cute. And his movements are a bit less jerky, he still twitches a lot in his sleep, but so does D :D so I don't think it has anything to do with age.
Another thing that seems to grow at a speed to fast for me to keep up are his nails :D I seem to have to cut them every other day just so he wouldn't scratch himself or mainly me, because he is very handsy when he's breastfeeding.

These are the main things I can think of now :)
We had a little celebration of our own as well :D I had half a glass of red wine and D had some weird stuff :D And we had some chocolate cream cake...just a bit...a few spoonfuls. And D surprised me with a cool picture frame...one of those with 12 little places to put his monthly pictures in for a year :) We just need to develop some.
So all in all it was a really great day, even had a candle on his cake.

He is already in his pj's because we managed to give him a bath, plus it was actually quite late....it's a miracle D was able to stay awake that long :D

You can see the Incy Wincy Spider book on the table :D

Hope you guys have enjoyed your month as well, but had more sleep than us :D
Stay tuned

Little Shopping Day

I will never go shopping on a Saturday again. I had forgotten how many people there is in Birmingham. Is it are or is :S Grammar eh? Anyway, there are/is a lot of people in town on the weekend, and it is an absolute mare to get anywhere or do anything unless you are willing to fight for your personal space :D
I did manage to do a bit of shopping done though, but only because I didn't have O with me. Getting through masses of people with a pushchair kind of seems like an unmanageable task for me. Maybe in a few months time when I'm more confident. Also, I don't think it's a great idea to take your little child shopping anyway, because there is just too many people, and it doesn't seem safe. Especially because he hasn't had his vaccinations yet, but mostly...tiny babies are too fragile for all the shopping commotion in my opinion.
I'm not judging people who do it, I'm just saying they are stupid :D only joking I do understand that sometimes the need to shop just takes over and if you don't have a babysitter then it's probably best you did take your child with you, because it's safer than leaving them home alone :D

I better not say anything else or I might get into trouble so here are the things I managed to buy :)

I never thought I will get a crop top. I thought that once you get past the age of 12 they are not really that great, but I couldn't resist when I saw this white one from Forever21. I think I would wear it with some high waisted shorts or maybe a skirt. I will have to see how to style it once the time comes to wear it :)

And I also got this dress. It was only 10 pounds and I did think that it's not very breastfeeding friendly, but I guess I can still wear it before and after or when he is having a bottle :)
Style it with a chunky black cardigan and flat ankle boots.

These boots from River Island :D perfect with the dress above :D OR maybe even the white top, with some dark red leather shorts...

And then I also got some socks :D and a simple black open front cardigan from h&m.
If you guys follow me on instagram, you might have noticed I got a delivery from h&m. A few things I got from there are shown on my postpartum update pictures and I will show the other things over the week probably :) But I mostly got some breastfeeding friendly bras, so I won't be showing them on the blog for obvious reasons :)

Hope you enjoy your day

4 Weeks Postpartum Update

Here we are 4 weeks after giving birth. I have not lost any more weight now for two weeks. Thankfully, because of the breastfeeding, my hideous ways of eating have not made me gain any weight either. Still, I think, with some changes to my diet, I can easily lose those last few pounds :)
Like I mentioned in my previous post, that I'm getting back on the healthy and clean eating waggon. And I will do weekly updates on how it's going along with my postpartum updates. And then I will do separate monthly posts on Oscar and how he is getting on :)

Firstly I'll go through all things post birth.
The main thing that has happened during this week, that I think I have finally stopped bleeding. It happened once before at the 2 week mark though and then started again, so I can't be sure that this time it will be for real. We shall see.

Another thing is that I have kind of established a night time routine now and it seems to work for now. This means I am less tired during the day and less cranky at nights because I know what to expect for. I didn't think it will happen this soon after giving birth and especially because it's our first child and everything is so new. BUT I'm so glad we are finally figuring things out :)

A latest buy I've done just because I did give birth, is a shaping top. I got one from h&m and I should have known not to expect anything special from it since it is from the high street, but I thought it can't make things any worse. I know I don't really need it, but it does actually contain a bit of the muffin top situation I have still :D On the other hand it is really tight at the boob area as well as the waist, which is annoying because I don't think anyone will buy a shaping top to shape their boobs :D

I have been getting some daily exercise in the form of walking. Me and O take our little stroll pretty much every day and they have been getting longer and longer now that I'm feeling pretty good in myself. And since he really enjoys the walks as well, this is our quiet time, because he just falls asleep pretty much as soon as I start walking :)

And I think that is about it for the postpartum update :)
This is how I look at 4 weeks

Just a shot of my new tennis shoes :D

I didn't do belly shots, because I was wearing the shaping top anyway, so it wouldn't have given an accurate look. I will try to do one during the week though, but if not, then next week :)

For the new start at healthy living part of the post I'll just go through of what I ate today and how good I did...

So I started the day pretty early. Usually D takes Oscar to the living room at around 7 am and then works from there and I get to sleep until 10-11am, but today he had to go to the office, which meant I got the early morning shift all to myself :D
Since it was so early I completely forgot to have my warm water with lemon and went straight for the coffee. O was being a bit fussy all morning though and needed a lot of attention so I didn't get to have any breakfast until 11 and it was porridge with a spoonful on jam and a banana.
At 1pm, we went for an hour long walk, which is the exercise part of my day. Once I got back I had lunch. I had some cottage cheese and mackerel and then I felt like having something sweet ( I think this is when the withdrawal symptoms from not having any chocolate started to kick in :D) so I had an activia pear yogurt...and a piece of bloody stupid chocolate...I need to hide the chocolate :D
For dinner we had salmon and roasted peppers with some new potatoes and leek and mushroom sauce. I was actually quite proud of myself of how good everything turned out :)
And then I treated myself to a magnum ice cream...it's the first day and I've already failed at this whole no chocolate thing :D
On a good note though, I have been very good with snacking. I had slice of toast before my breakfast because there was a whole 5 hours between waking up and actually managing to have something substantial to eat, and then I had a nectarine and some grapes during the day :)
And I have had loads of water. I also bought some sweetener for my coffees, because even though I only have one regular coffee a day I do like the taste of coffee so I have a few decaf coffees as well during the day.

And that is about it I think :) Let's see what the week brings
Stay tuned

Healthy Happy Life

If you've been following my blog from the start you might know that I used to be quite healthy and my job also kept me quite active. A few weeks before giving birth though I kind of lost track of all things that are good to me.

I blame not gaining too much weight, because when I had 3 weeks left and I still had 2.5 kg to go to reach that minimum healthy weight gain...I decided it's time to start treating myself....with LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of chocolate. I figured that once I give birth I will just loose the appetite for chocolate. I am so stupid :D

So now 4 weeks later I have decided it's about time to get back on track with healthy clean eating, especially because I'm breastfeeding ( I have been breastfeeding a lot more these days and in return we have a much more contented baby :) I don't know if it's actually because of breastfeeding, or because he doesn't have that much gas any more :D

I started today at my 4 week postpartum mark. The thing is that I don't actually have to change all of my eating. Our dinners are still pretty healthy and mostly home cooked. Dinners are also the only meals me and D have together because we wake up at different times, and D actually only has a protein shake for breakfast usually anyway. My breakfast is also quite healthy. It's usually porridge or I will have a yogurt and a banana or something. The problem is what happens between breakfast and dinner and sometimes after dinner as well :D

I do tend to snack a lot more these days, and not on healthy things like fruit and carrots. SO the snacking will stop...not completely, I will still try to have at least 3 healthy snacks during the day, but it won't be a chocolate bar or a croissant or a doughnut or SUGAR at all unless it's fruit.

To make it harder for me to quit and just eat the cupboards empty of chocolate I will keep track of my progress. I will add the updates to my postpartum posts and then do a little separate update on Oscars progresses and news :) or at least that is the grand plan. I might do his on Fridays though, because it's more of his day than mine :D and then do my postpartum and healthy life update post on Saturday. Or I might go on to doing his every month now, rather than every week...I'll think about it.

So stay tuned and check out the start stats on the 4 week update post. I will upload just my update today and do Oscars on Monday, because he will actually be 1 month old then :O which is absolutely crazy. How have I survived with no sleep for a whole month :D hahaha :D
Anyway here's to apples and carrots :D
xo

My vegrack is ready for it :D

Baby Questions!???

As new parents, me and D are constantly on the Internet checking every single thing and then checking it twice and and third time and then discarding everything we've just read and kind of just go with our instincts instead :D

It's amazing how much information there is out there. But in the end I've come to realise, that if I need to find something, it will be out there in every single form. One website will tell you one thing and the other thing will tell you another...I just can't keep up. So lately I have actually stopped getting flustered and instead I've tried to find my own way. I try to interpret his cries to figure out what he needs/wants and just going with my mother instincts. I think what they say it's true...you do just know sometimes and it's an amazing feeling when you get it right :D But let's be honest, sometimes you get it wrong, but it's fine. I guess if you start the day out with one child and end it with one (the same one :D) then you've probably done an alright job :)
But there are still questions I need answers to. But they are more on the lighter side of seriousness #notascrazy :D

First one is the PLAY GYM!????
Oscar is getting to the point where he is awake much more during the day, and thus needs more stimulation. So instead of keeping him in the swing all the time, we figured a play gym will be a great place for him. It's also great for tummy time, which we are doing on 3 layered blankets at the moment, because we have laminate flooring :D
I just don't know what to look for. I know Fisher-Price is really good, but then again I think Skip Hop play mats are much nicer in a sense they will not clash with the room so much, but still seem to have all the goodness that a play gym needs....I just don't know.
Any recommendations?? Is there even any point of getting one??

TOYS???
Little O is only a few weeks old and doesn't really grab any toys just yet. We have 3 by Lamaze, but he gets bored of just looking at them. The most favourite one at the moment is the Cloud B sheep on the go :D but I think it's more of our favourite, because the ocean sound just calms him down and puts him to sleep much faster...only downside...it is very calming and makes us sleepy as well :D
Is there any age appropriate toys we can get him right now, or should we just leave it. I don't want to keep him from developing all the necessary skills just because he hasn't had the right toys. Is that even possible??? I just don't know.

I think this sheep was made by rainbow pooping pink ponys...it is amazing :)
(I got mine from amazon and only paid about 20 pounds. It's about 35 on the high street)

BATH TIME???
This is the one I'm kind of not really worried about, but it would still be nice to know. We have a bath from Mamas&Papas, that is suitable from birth, and it really is great. The only thing is that the newborn insert thing is quite high up in some places and rather low in the others. So when his tummy is in the water...so are his ears. I don't think his ears should be in the water, but If I lift him higher up, his tummy will be out of the water. From my experience, if a part of my body is out of the bath, I'm cold. He seems content and happy, but I'm just scared he is cold even though the water is warm. Am I just over thinking it???

MEMORY???
Will he forget me if he sleeps for too long ??? Hahaha... I'm just kidding. I just ran out of questions. There will always be questions obviously, but I just can't think of any at the moment.
Comment below on what you think, and if you've had any crazy moments where you think you know nothing :)

And as always, stay tuned :)

Weekend

Good evening, everyone :)
I've already been shit at this trying to post every day this week thing :D I will get better though...I'm sure...maybe. The weekend just went by so fast I completely forgot.
The main thing that happened during those 2 days that I didn't manage to blog, was that we went to the botanical gardens :) And I've also started to breastfeed a lot more rather than pump, because I just hate it. It takes so long and it just feels that feeding is taking twice as much time as it should since I used to pump after every feed, sometimes even more often. I am using the nipple shield every time. Mostly because my nipples are still sore and not gotten use to all the activity and secondly O doesn't even know what a nipple is anymore :D
I tried to breastfeed him without the guard once and he kind of just gave me this look of ''what are you thinking woman putting this weird thing in my mouth'' :D So I'm going to stick with the guard. I don't think there is any medical reason why I shouldn't be using it, so I'm going to continue.
I don't actually remember what we did on Saturday :/ I don't think we did anything to be honest. I kind of remember feeling a bit ill. That feeling when you've got a sore neck and your skin hurts. And I was really scared that I was going to become ill and unable to take good care of O, but on Sunday I felt fine, so I guess it was just tiredness.

Anyway, here is a little picture update of the last few days :)

This is how I start my day now. Warm water with lemon, it's meant to help with digestion and balance out all the acids in your body :)

D and O stuck in gravel by the butterfly house in the botanical gardens

 My new favourite toy

Calm before the storm :D A second later he blew out his paci and started screaming :D
btw the sheep is a godsend. It has a soundbox in it for ocean and whale sounds :D and it really calms him down. I don't use it at night but I do use it now for his day time naps.

Tummy time. He's not a big fan, but it's good for him, because it helps get the gas out :)

I almost forgot. The biggest thing that happened during the weekend is that we switched to size 2 diapers :D how cool. He is getting bigger by the day.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as well
stay tuned

3 Weeks Postpartum Update

Every time I start these update  posts I think I will be really good all week and do a post every day. But believe it or not, days just seem shorter these days. There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day any more. And quite frankly I have so much to write about every day, but it would all be baby related because I don't find much time for myself any more. I'm sure it's bound to change but for now since Oscar is still so little and still needs A LOT of attention all the time, every minute is spend on him and I'm ok with that.

Today is actually the day when we are going to register him...eeek :) Then it will all be official. Funny thing about it all is that little O will have an English passport... I have an Estonian passport and D has a French one :D I'm sure travelling is going to be such fun :D

But back to this post...3 week update. Not a lot has changes with me to be honest. I haven't lost any more weight which I'm ok with as they do say the last few pounds are the hardest to get rid of. And it has only been 3 weeks. The other day I actually had a glimpse of my abs and I didn't think I will be able to see those for at least another 3 months so there is definitely progress.

There is an update on the dreaded stretch marks though. I have them now. I actually got them after the pregnancy and they are on my left boob (there might be some small ones on the right one as well, but I haven't found them yet). It's actually quite annoying and it happened with the engorgement. I'm not quite sure why but my left boob seems to produce more milk, so it gets filled a lot more. And it looks bigger as well, and when I say bigger it's probably a whole cup size bigger. I've tried to get my right one to produce more by pumping it more often, but it doesn't seem to work. I call it my lazy boob. Fortunately for me I only flash my boobs at home so no one else can see the marks :D
There is a lot of boob action all the time...still not confident enough to breastfeed in public though, but I'm sure if I'd need to I would. I'm actually sick of boobs. It all revolves around boobs these days lol.

The most important thing that has happened though in the last week is that O now sleeps longer during the night. So if we plan it right during the day I only have to wake up once a night now :)

I do the last feed with him at 12 am or at 1 am then change his diaper and put him in his sleepsuit. We don't give him a full bath every night (we'll try to do it every other night for now). In between those nights I usually just give him a quick wash in the sink after his last poo. He really enjoys water. He is super calm in the bath as well, which I was really worried about because I remember my little brother screaming his head off during his first baths  :D
But O just loves warm water :) We actually put a towel in the bath as well so it would be more comfy for him.

I make it sound like it's all really easy and to be honest apart from the fact that it all takes a lot of hours during the day it really is quite easy. The only hard part is when he starts fussing and he's been doing it a lot over the last couple of days. He just doesn't seem to want anything except to wiggle and fuzz :D And we just have to be ok with that because there is not much we can do about it. But it does get a bit annoying. And because he is sleeping more during the night he is now more awake during the day and the day time naps are shorter which we now have to get used to.

Little O also decided not to be so little any more :D He has grown out of all his newborn and 0-1 month clothes. The thing is that he is in that awkward phase where he can't fit into the smallest size but is still too small to fit into the bigger size. Fortunately Mothercare does a size that fits in between there (small baby, up to 10lbs), so I've had to buy a few outfits for him to get through the days.
Baby clothes sizes are stupid really. You have 0-3 moths, which means it's really for 3 month olds and then 3-6 months. And in between that you don't really have a lot of options :D I'm sure we'll survive though, even if I have to cut off the bottom parts of his little all-in-ones....his legs are really long :D

And that's about it for this weeks update. I'm sure I've forgotten to tell yo guys about loads of things but I can blame it on mommy brain now :)

This is what I look like 3 weeks post birth :)
I can finally close my jeans without struggle...anazing :D It feels weird to pull my trousers up now time to time as I walk around. I might even need a belt lol

Nothing wrong with a little selfie :D

Hope you enjoy my ''just woke up'' face and hair. And also the mess in the backgroun :D

And this is little Oscar, 3 weeks old in one of his new outfits. It's a two piece from Mothercare. And I love the fact that it has a hoodie, because none of the hats really fit his head :D He has changed so much. He came out looking like mini D, but he is definitely looking more like me now...I think. My grandma actually said that it's good luck for the sons to look like their mothers :)

Little scrunchie. He likes to curl up like this every time I try to take a photo :D

On that note I'm off to attend to my baby. And hopefully I will find time for more posts this week :)
Stay tuned, everyone :)
