Recap: Week 1 in Estonia

Hello, Everyone :) Long time no write. I just didn't really have anything to write about :D But I do now...I think...you'll be the judge of it :D
So a week ago I travelled alone with a 1 year old all the way from England to Estonia and although the 10 hour travel was pretty exhausting I think we did pretty good. It was Oscars first time on the plane and my first time travelling with him alone. I was expecting the worst and prepared for absolutely everything :D But I'll do another post on the travel day and my preparations, because I did learn a few things on the way :)
We made it to Estonia quite late on a Wednesday...when I say late, we literally made it just before 12am on Wednesday night. It's another 2.5 hour drive from the airport to my parents house, but thankfully Oscar slept the whole way here. And we made it just in time for the summer to finally start...in the middle of August. SO yippiiiii (I have no idea how to spell that word...is it even an actual word, who knows :D)
Ok so the week in Estonia started for us on a Thursday really, which we spent having a good nose around the house and the garden and the lake :) And we also visited my grandma, who is Oscars Great grandma. My cousin lives in the same house with her,  with her two kids, so the garden is full of play things and a trampoline, where we had to hide because Oscar was a bit scared of the dog :)
He absolutely loves playing the sand on the beack by the lake. The water was super cold though :D it didn't stop me going swimmin...took me a while but I did it :D
We also made it to Tartu, which is a small city where I grew up, before we moved to the town my parents live now. I love how the square in the old town is full of little outside restaurants. And all the houses and streets look very quaint and pretty :)
He could really do with some shoes...I know that :D
He is such a poser. If anyone needs a child model let me know :D
We also celebrated his First Birthday. Mainly because none of my family had even met Oscar :) It was a fun day. Most of my cousins now have children of their own so it was fun to see Oscar interact with everyone :)
I also managed to get a haircut and change my hair colour but I will probably do a little post about that one as well. Just because I'm still getting use to it myself, I need to find a way and style that works for me :)
I hope you enjoyed the comeback post :) I will try to post as much as I can during my stay in Estonia ( we are here for a total of 3 weeks) just because I get so much help from my parents and sister, that I just find myself less tired and grumpy and just more happy :) So happy posts for everyone :D and even my 8 year old brother helps by just walking away from him. Oscar loves following him around and annoying him :D

Stay tuned you guys :)

Favourite Accessories

Hello, Everyone :)
Long time no see...long time no write...long time no read :D I have really been procrastinating with everything, the blog, dentist, cleaning, shopping :D I just have not felt like doing anything lately and when I aint feeling it...I aint doing it. But I'm back now. It's August...a whole different month and I'm in a whole different mood and mindset. So I'm starting off by doing a little post about my recent accessory favourites and as per usual, they are all affordable and there are lots of similar items to choose from from the high street even though some of these beauties have been purchased years ago....I like how things just keep coming back...fringing, fangs, suede, coulottes...everything is coming back. This just makes me think that I should never, ever...ever...throw anything out again :D Let the hoarding begin
But here they are :) My favourite accessories at the moment :)

New Product of The Month

Hello, Everyone :) I wanted to do the 6th outfit post today, but I woke up with a nasty cold and I assure you that a snotty nose is never good on a picture :D So instead I will start a new series, where every month I will share one or two new products I have tried and loved or hated. I don't really see how I could be doing monthly favourites, because...honestly, I have my favourites and I just keep using them month after month. But I do wonder around on-line and in stores and sometimes come across some products I have either heard of or seen advertised somewhere. So in this segment I will be telling you guys about those products :) I might do this every month or on a good month twice a month...depending on how many new things for myself I have discovered. So it's not new products per say, but more like new products for me :)
Today it will be 2 L'oreal skincare products that I picked up when I went to Superdrug to get some wipes :S I came out with 4 packs of wipes these two creams and a few more bits and bobs :S Anyway out of the two creams/serums one  I LOOOVE the other one not too much.
I will start with the LOOOVE. The L'oreal Skin Perfect Perk Up Cream.
This comes in 35ml tube. And promises to reduce the signs of fatique (yes the only reason I picked it up :D I am constantly feeling tired, so I was hoping to use this whenever I just can't be bothered with a bb/cc cream or any other make up product for that matter) AND it delivers. You can see the change immediately. The whole face looks more glowing it's super moisturising and all the imperfections and dark circles seem to have faded away. And another great thing about this is that it smells amazing :D It has 20SPF which is always good in creams and it's just all around an amazing product. I find it being like a cc cream but without actually changing the skin colour but rather making it luminous and well I will say it GORGEOUS. It's also a great base for makeup as it does make your skin surface really smooth. The only thing is that it's quite greasy so you definitely have to set the makeup with powder or else it will run down your top. But I actually like the ''greasiness'' it just feels that much more moisturising because of it and also it doesn't LOOK greasy...
The second product I got was the L'oreal Skin Perfect Magic Touch Instant Blur cream. It is tinted - universal shade...which made my alarm bells ring right away, but I though about giving it a try anyway :D I don't hate the product, but I must say I don't love it either. It is tinted, but the tint is quite light in colour and I'm quite tanned. I did use it in my t-zone and under the eyes just because I figured if I use it all over my face I would just look washed out. And for that reason only I don't love it, because I think it's just for targeted areas. But other than that it still does what it says it's going to do...helps improve visible skin quality, as if perfected.
Both of these products are on better than half price offer at the moment in Superdrug so I'm thinking of going to go and get another perk up cream just because it's only £5.95 at the moment rather than £11.99
If you too have wanted to try out the Skin Perfection creams then right now is the right time. :)
Let me know what you think if you have used them already? Loving? Hating?
And as always
Stay tuned

WORK IT

Hello, Everyone :) I think we all know I don't work any more, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good pant suit. In the summer though a whole suit can look a bit too boxy and you will probably melt and get sweat patches and...anyway. I think in the summertime it's ok to jazz up your work attire a little and have a bit more fun. SO here is my take on a summer office wear outfit :)

I chose these peachy and light blue colours for the outfit, because we all know dark colours attract Sun. Light colours will keep you cooler in the summer...FACT :D I added some gold, dark purple and brown leather accessories and voila. I do actually wear contacts because I'm slightly blind :D but my glasses seemed to work with this outfit as well, so I thought why not share these bad boy nerdies with all of you as well :D

I love the flowy gypsy top from Primark. It's just the prettiest thing and I the delicate flowers go well with the pale pink cropped peg leg trousers from Missguided. The shoes are from there as well. AND they are probably the most wonderful comfortable heels I have come across lately. The short block heel looks super fashionable but it also makes walking a whole lot easier than with a thin heel. I think a medium block heel is a perfect middle way between a flat shoe and a high heel :) So give it a try and let me know how you feel about them.
The bag is an old find. I got it from one of those stands you find in between places :D It was £10 and worth every pound :D I do like a good structured bag anyway :)

WEARING: MISSGUIDED - trousers, MISSGUIDED - shoes, PRIMARK - blouse, H&M - belt, OLIVIA BURTON - watch, ACCESSORIZE - bangles, NEWLOOK - rings and earrings, UNKNOWN - bag

SHOP THE STYLE

Hope you enjoyed todays look :)
This outfit was the 5th look for my 10 Days of Summer Style series, so we are half way trough :)
I will also try to get myself to work out the ''shop the style'' for each look, but it's mighty time consuming...bare with me on this one :D IF there is something you think you can't live without ;) let me know and I'll find the item or similar faster/
Stay tuned for a faux leather look next :)

ICE CREAM

Hello, Everyone :) Another day, another white dress. This time it's actually a recent purchase rather than an old piece out of my wardrobe :D. I picked up this lovely cotton gypsy dress from the Primark section in Selfridges when I was shopping with my friend. Ok I must admit she found it first and I just copied her :D But it's a lovely dress and it was only £13. I wore this outfit today for a little trip to the local ice-cream cafe :) It was such a nice sunny and warm day we decided to have a little walk there. Even though Oscar is sick for the first time in his life, and was not really feeling too well. We figured a little bit of fresh air will only do him good.

Because it was just a casual daily outing I opted for flats rather than wedges that I would normally pair with this kind of dress. I really wanted to wear some sandals...but I realised I don't own any sandals...how sad...shopping trip me thinks :D But my old favourite tan braided flats from Missguided worked very well. I also added a fringed bag and some mint green sunglasses for a little pop of colour :) The whole look is very simple but kind of pretty in its peasant way :D Hope you like it :)

WEARING - PRIMARK - dress, PRIMARK - bag (a few years ago...I'm sorry I can't stop myself from wearing stuff from waaaay back :D)MISSGUIDED - shoes, OLIVIA BURTON - watch

Next outfit for the 10 Days of Summer Style will be a business lunch outfit :) So stay tuned :)

SUMMER WHITE

Hello, Everyone :)Today I will bring you a ''little white dress'' outfit. This is the 3rd outfit for my 10 Days of Summer Style posts, and if you are just checking in then it's a series I'm doing during June and July...hopefully I won't go into August with these :D I will try to post an outfit for 10 occasions you are most likely to come across during the summer and give you a little insight into what I would wear to these outings/stayings :) So hope you enjoy the post :) Leave a comment on what occasion you are struggling to find style inspiration for :) Maybe I can help. This will be a ''Datenight'' outfit :)
The last time I wore this dress I was about 26 weeks pregnant and it was my baby shower :) It has an elasticated waist witch made it so comfortable with a tiny bump and now without the bump, the waist is being accentuated. I love a white dress during summer. I just think it looks so pretty with tanned skin, some gold and leather accessories and a nice peachy lipgloss.
I love the lace detailing of this dress. It is the cheapest brand that you can get but a good lace work always makes an item look more expensive than it actually is. It is so light weight so perfect for those hot summer days/nights. I would personally wear it for a midnight summer datenight :) Maybe add a darker lipgloss and a nice light cardigan or jacket :)
I went for a bit of a bohemian style with the accessories. I also thoguht of adding a belt, but since I am very short (5ft4) I liked how the all white dress just elongated me. And obviously the platform heels helped :D

WEARING:
dress - SELECT, heels - NEWLOOK, necklace - NEWLOOK, hoop earrings - random jewelery stand in DEBENHAMS :D rings and bangled - ACCESSORIZE, watch - OLIVIA BURTON

Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Stay tuned

MY LITTTLE BOX UNBOXING

Hello, Everyone :) I received this little cute box today in the mail, so I figured I'll do a little unboxing post for you. I know all these beauty subscription boxes are really popular and there are so many of them out there. I chose this one because it seemed to offer something a little different. And I must say I am very happy with my decision to go for it :)

The July monthly box theme is ''French Riviera'' and its a collaboration box with Sarah Lavoine, a interior designer. Inside there were all these lovely goodies, a pamphlet and a few cards with information about the products. Before I go into detail about the goodies have a look at the packaging....I mean COMEOOOON....it's so freaking cute. The box the whole thing comes in itself is worth the 14 pounds a month :D But I am slightly obsessed with nice boxes anyway so maybe I'm not the most biast person talk.

In this months box there was:
Keratine Thermique, Blow-Dry Care for Unruly Hair by Kerastase, RPR £19.50
Sunglasses Sarah Lavoine x My Little Box, £18
Sea Salt Fresh Scrub by My Little Beauty, £8.50 for 75ml
Planters duo, £6.50
Nails polish loved by Sarah Lavoine, £6.50

I am loving the Kerastase smoothing taming milk already. My hair is absolutely crazy and I can just see this being the saviour I need. The blue is such a nice sea blue I can't wait to try it on my toes :D I thought the sunglasses would look weird as my face is big and the sunglasses looked pretty small, but they actually look really cool. Sea salt scrub will come in handy when the sun gets tougher and the only thing I'm not too sure about in the box is the bags? for plants? anything? I don't know :D Maybe they will find good use in the bathroom, but they are not refined enough in their shape for me to put them anywhere else is the house....maybe outside? :D I don't know.
All in all this box is AWSOME and I think everyone deserves a bit of French in their life ;)

All the products (apart from the Kerastase hair care product) are available at My Little Corner and subscription for your own box can be made at My Little Box website.

Hope you enjoyed the post
I am planning to get back in track with my 10 Days of Summer posts...fingers crossed :D
Stay tuned :)

FRIENDLY LUNCH PARTY

Hello, Everyone :) The second outfit for my 10 Days of Summer Style includes greens, gold and tan colours. I love the combination of green and brown. The pop of gold just adds a little bit of fancy to it. And also it's there because of the rule of 3. I never go for just 2 colours in my outfit as it just looks very dated. I also try to add at least 3 extra accessories or items to my outfit. Either a jacket, a bag, a statement necklace, a hat, scarf... you get the jist.
The outfit I chose I actually wore for a lunch date with D and O. The only thing I changed was the shoes. It's just not very sensible to wear wedges that high with an active 10 month old :D But I would wear them when I would meet up with friends and could leave him home :D

WEARING: JEANS - forever21, SWEATER - zara, TANK TOP - h&m, WEDGES - select, EARRINGS - accessories, WATCH - Olivia Burton, BANGLE - gina tricot. BAG - new look

Hope you enjoyed the post :)

ACCESSORIES PARTY

Hello, Everyone :) It was such a lovely day today. The Sun was out and I managed to top up my tan. We had a lovely hour of fun with the paddling pool with O. The day and the tan were just asking for coral and aqua colours, but this time I decided to go with the blues. Mostly because orange is really not my colour as of yet :D And this post will mark the first of my 10 day summer outfit series. I will try to go with occasions rather than colours. So I guess this will be a good outfit for a nice summer evening cocktail party on the rooftop bar. Skip the wedges and some of the accessoires, add some pumps and it will be a walk in the park outfit :D But since I'm planning to do a park outfit anyway, lets leave it to this one being a ''rooftop'' kind of thaaang ;)
I wanted to go all out with the accessories this time because it just felt like an accessories party kind of outfit. So simple and summery...I think it just needed to be livened up with some pretty arm and ear and neck candy :D
Wearing: BLOUSE - New Look, SHORTS - H&M, NECKLACE - H&M, RINGS - New Look, EARRINGS - gift, SUNGLASSES - Storm (mens), SHOES - New Look

The sunglasses are actually Ds :D He said they are too girly, and I guess I'm not helping him by wearing them like they were made for me :D But they do actually look very nice on him as well. Can't beat a good pair of aviators right?

Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Stay tuned for tomorrows post.

FASHION CLASSICS

Hello, Everyone :) Today I will kind of continue the style of my last post. It has something to do with a wardrobe but mostly with style. You know how fashion changes with seasons but style is something that lasts longer. Well today I will share my fashion classics with you. I'm talking about those items that I just can't live without. Those pieces of clothing/accessories and shoes that continue to play an important part in your wardrobe year after year. I'm sure these are different for different people, so I won't be guessing what majority of you will have as their staple pieces, but instead just tell you about mine :)

White Button Down
This is a definite staple. Wear it with jeans, shorts, skirt...Dress it down or make it fancy. I don't mind spending a bit more money on this item to get a better quality and fit.

Black Dress
I don't think I need to say anything about this one. It's just a must. I am loving my Gino Tricot jersey wrap around dress with a plunge neckline. It's so simple and classy.

White Blazer
This not for everyone. But I love my buttonless white blazer I got from H&M about 2 years ago. I wear it with everything. It works with colour and as part of a white or white and black ensamble. It's one of those wear it down or out kind of items.
Black High Heeled Sandals
Again I don't think I need to explain myself here. My favourite pair is from River Island. The one main thing is with these, that they have a slim high heel and they are strappy.

Blue Jeans
I mean those classic blue jeans. Not distressed or anything. Just really nice dark navy blue jeans. I love jeans anyway. Angelina Jolie said that she doesn't have a single pair of jeans at home because she would end up wearing them all the time. Well I don't mind wearing them all the time :D I like mine mid-rise but skinny. But I do want to try out the flare again.
Flat Shoes
For me it's all about the espadrille. For summertime at least. I got my leopard print from H&M but I will be upgrading to a more sturdy pair for this season as I went through two pairs last summer :D

Tan Bag
It's not the size the shape or the style that matters here. It's about that classic tan colour. I'm not a big fan of slouchy bags so for me a nice shape is quite important. I like a shopper style and I also like the classic trapeze shape.

Hope you enjoyed my little fashion classics post :)
I am starting a 10 day series tomorrow where I will share one summery outfit a day with all of you :)
So stay tuned, everyone :)

CLOSET CLEAROUT

Hello, Everyone :) Yesterday I received my Louise Roe book called Front Roe and there was a chapter about closet organisation. So I had a look at my rails and thought....WHY DO I NEED ALL THESE CLOTHES. She was completely right about women only using 15% of their wardrobe. I know all my clothes are right in front of me all the time, but I still don't use most of them. So I figured I will clear out my rails and only have things I actually love and use daily on them with a few added extra pieces for those ''more special'' moments and days.
This is what the rails looked before I went on a mad clearing out spree. I had organised it already into categories when I got the rails. So I have my sweaters, blouses, skirts, dresses and things all together in their own space, but there are just too many of them. I've gone more colour coordinated this time round.

This is what was left :O It is slightly scary, but I love the new cleaner and more organised look of the rails. I can definitely see myself using more of the things on there now. (It got dark by the time I finished, so the lighting is different :( and I don't have lamps...like the photography lamps not normal lamps...I have those ;) :D)
What I still think about doing:
I need to get a shelf in the middle of two rails for things that are just easier stored folded up. Like jeans, t-shirts, sweaters. I'm thinking the BILLY bookcase from Ikea.
I also ordered some clip hangers for skirts :)
What did I do with the rest of my clothes?
Seasonal clothes that I know I will wear again come Autumn/Winter time I stored in Oscars bedroom (he has a massive built in wardrobe that is half empty. It's where I keep the linens and towels and winter coats)
T-shirts and tops and jeans and about a 100 sweaters that have seen their days but are still actually ok to use I put in a charity bag. They put these bags through our postbox and even come to collect them. No hassle and they will go into good use.
Things that were just too used and beat I just threw away. I mean I had shirts with holes in them :S BUY WHYYYYY? I don't know :D

And now there is more room for me to go shopping again :D
Just kidding...or am I...I mean there is room :D
Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Let me know if you've done a closet clearout recently? Are you loving it? Regretting it? I love hearing all the stories :)
Stay tuned by following ;)
