Sneakers for lunch

Hello, Everyone :)

I've got a sneaky feeling I've got a sneaker fever :D I'm not lying to you. I feel like wearing sneakers all day every day. With dresses and jeans and shorts and skirts. But why? you may ask...because they are cool and comfortable :) And that is it. So I have been on a look for a good white sneaker ever since my white pair from Old Navy turned into something out of a hallway of a farmer due to my previous work in the bar :D Let's be honest it was my own fault wearing white shoes in a place were the bottom part of the floor is covered with sticky alcohol and tissue paper, and the uniform code was actually black shoes, but hey anything to look good on that walk to the toilet right :D And I kind of forgot all about the fact that I use to love wearing them with absolutely everything until the other day when I was trying to find new pair of slippers.
The story goes like this. (Be aware that, the story is not very riveting, interesting or anything else :D) I was looking for slippers on Next. I asked D if he wanted something as I was paying for delivery anyway, so why not. And he told me he wanted some sneakers. And I was like sneakers you say. So while I was looking for sneakers on the mens site I suddenly had a thought of my old white sneakers. This is actullay what happened in my brain...I did come across a fond memory of the pair of white sneakers I use to own. So I looked up some awsome canvas white sneaks and ordered them :D And I've been wearing them ever since...every day...unless it's a no going out day, then I stay in slippers :D
Here is a look I wore to a casual lunch date Yesterday :) STARRING...WHITE SNEAKERS...I'm such a loser :D Hope you enjoy :)

Outfit Of The Day

Good Afternoon, Everybody :)

I thought that, since the last two outfit posts were quite casual, I'll do a fancy, pancy, dressy outfit today :D And I've gone all out wearing my new clip on hair extensions as well :) To be fair I should've done all of this after coming back from town (I'm in need for some beauty essentials) but I just didn't think. Not that it's a problem, but it means I have literally gotten myself all prettied up for 10 minutes :D and then now I have to take it all off...anyway, I'm sorry about the weird words...I just can't think of any normal ones :D

Back to the post..this one is all about the pencil skirt. I must admit, the ''skirt'' here is actually a bottom part of a dress. I cut it off because I would get more use having it as a skirt as I would wearing it as a dress...I don't think I even have the top part anymore :D I really like an all white/off white look with a few metallic or colourful accessories :) I have gone for the blues. I think the contrasting colours just work really well together and it's definitely a christmas party look :)

Wearing :
Skirt (half of a dress) - Asos
Blazer - h&m
Shirt - New Look
Shoes - New Look
Bag - New Look
Watch - fake Cartier...don't judge me, it was a present :D

Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Stay tuned and why not follow my blog so you wouldn't miss anything ;)

Outfit nr 2

Good Afternoon, Everyone :)

Day 2 of finding new life for my old clothes.
I do feel I have an upper hand in this challenge, because I haven't been able to use most of my wardrobe for the past year or so due to pregnancy. So now every item I pull out is like new to me and I get all excited about it again. Or I'm able to wear a belt to completely change the look of something.
The look I'm going for today is all about the boots. I bought these New Look boots about 2 years ago on sale for 7 pounds...could've been 8 or 9 :D...but none the less, they were so cheap. I think the last time I wore them was last winter :S It just shows how little I use my wardrobe. I have my everyday favourites and even when I go out...I just keep going back to outfits or clothing pieces that are tried and tested many times.
Back to todays post though...it's something I haven't worn before(i've worn the pieces as part of different outfits but never together) and I think that's the whole point...reinventing the pieces of clothing you already have in order to shop less and spend money on things that matter :)
I have paired the dark brown boots with earthy colour for that Autumn feel.

Boots - New Look
Shirt - h&m
Jeans - zara
Knitted vest - h&m
Bag - New Look
Watch - Olivia Burton

D Has A Birthday

I am a big fan of celebrating my own birthday, but it's not my birthday yet...it is on the other hand Ds' 31st Birthday :) How exciting...he is 5 and 2 months older than me, just in case anyone was wondering. Oh dear, I wrote that down and then started thinking if I was 25 or 26 :D complete pregnancy brain moment there :D I am still 25 though and will be 26 in September the 26th.
I've been trying  to pick up on what he would like for his present this year for a very long time. Last year I got him his favourite bottle of spiced rum, which he still has. And this year......I struggled so much. Now that we are living together I kind of realise that if there is something he wants he will get it right away :D Finally I think I got him the right thing :) and he seemed to like it.
I also got him some oven gloves :D This was obviously a joke present, but he does need them since he keeps burning himself every time he cooks. Anyway the present went down very well, which I'm happy about, because it did take me a while to think of what to get him.
That was the present part. I also got him a chocolate birthday cake which I completely forgot about until lunch time. I was going to give it to him in the morning, but that didn't work out :D. I would've actually made it for him myself, but he is always at home, and I really wouldn't have anywhere to hide it overnight other than the fridge, and he would find it and it's too hot and it was just easier to get one from Marks&Spencer :D
For dinner we went for a meal together, which was really nice. Again I could have  cooked myself, but I like celebrating birthdays. Also this might actually be the last time we get to go out for a meal in a restaurant before the baby comes, so it was really nice to dress up the bump for one night and just have chill evening. It is also good not having to wash the dishes at the end.
So all in all it was such a nice day and a total success. And I think we both needed to get our minds away from all things baby for a bit :)

This is what I wore.
The dress is from h&m and it's so comfortable. It's exactly the right length and its stretchy and it's summery. I must admit though, the colour and the bump together make me look a bit like a tomato :D
The necklace is also from h&m :)

I have to add that I was actually wearing shoes, but this hot weather and being so close to giving birth, my feet are swollen. To a complete stranger they might look completely normal, but I can't fit into my shoes anymore. So I have 3 pairs of sandals I can still wear :D

The joys of being pregnant  :D

A Day of Shopping

I actually managed to wake up at a decent time today..which for me means that I got out of bed before 12 :D And I also managed to get myself ready and out of the flat for a bit of shopping in less than an hour.

The weather has been so nice recently, so all I really needed to worry about was that I had comfortable flats, sunglasses and deodorant.
First I went to House of Frazer. They've got a sale on and I was in need of some slip on summer sandals, which I found.

These Dune ones. They were half price and so comfortable. Also I wanted slip on ones rather than sandals with clips and clasps, because I find it harder every day to bend down to put my shoes on :D

I was also in need of a new wallet/purse...so I bought this Biba one...It's not what I wanted, but it does it's job, because my old River Island one is ready to give up and all my cards kept falling out of it :D This Biba one has a zip all around, so I have to work hard to lose my cards with this one :D

And considering my latest pregnancy brain moments, I figured it's best to get an organiser :) I love this Paperchase one. I really like the colour, now I just need to remember to write my appointments in it...and when I do, then I need to remember to check it :D

After the house of Frazer I met up with my friend Marta and we had a Starbucks while sitting in the sun, and then had some lunch.

This is what I wore. It's not a full size picture obviously, but the dress comes just slightly above the knee with the bump (it used to be mid-length :D) and since it's a wrap dress it's so comfortable :)

The second picture is really foggy for some reason, but I only actually took these two photos ( usually I take a bunch and choose the best ones) I'm not sure if it's the mirror or I just had a shaky hand :D

Anyway, the sales are on, so go and spend some hard earned money girls :)

Summer Pregnancy Fashion

This post will hopefully show, how spending money on pregnancy clothes during summer is completely useless. And how you can very easily adjust the clothes you have already for them to fit you throughout your pregnancy. This way the items you end up during your pregnancy will live on to serve you after the birth as well :) And this way you don't have to find storage room for clothes that are unfit to wear once your little bundle of joy is here :)

1.
First thing first. I bought a pair of maternity jeans, because they are part of my work attire. I figured since I have to wear them there, they might as well be comfortable.
If I wouldn't have to wear jeans at work, I could get away with using a hair band/hair bubble with my pre-pregnancy jeans.
Since hair bands are stretchy they are perfect to add those extra cm's. Just tie them through the button hole and then use the loop to keep your the button closed.

I have featured my pregnancy jeans quite a few times already on my blog, so I won't add a picture. If you find that you just must have something maternity..go for the jeans :) And go for the classic blue colour that will work with everything :)

2.
Stretchy waist shorts - I like silky materials, because I can then either dress them down or dress them up depending on the occasion.
Casual Outfit
Shorts, tank top, flat sandals and accessories

Dressed up
Shorts, top, blazer, heeled sandals and accessories

I realise that when your feet are swollen the last thing you want to do is squeeze them in heeled sandals, but you can always try wedges - I find them much more comfortable and you can find them everywhere in the shops during the summer.
If you really can't do heel, funk your outfit up with some crazy flat sandals :) bows, diamantes, bling :)

3. Loose blouse -  I am a big fan of white blouses, because they go with anything. Dress it up, dress it down, it's so versatile.
You can also go for a colour during the summer. Just make sure you can use it with a lot of your outfits...It's all about the mix and match.

Go for a sleeveless one or a one with 3/4 or full sleeve.

A long sleeved shirt with a maxi skirt will give you a bohemian look that's totally IN this summer (and was for the past previous summers :D ) Finish the look with some bangles, nice sandals and a beach bag.

Or go for a more sophisticated look with some heels and a mid-length skirt (skirt - Pringle, blouse - h&m, shoes - zara) Bring the whole look in with a waist belt

4. The last look brings me to the next staple piece in my wardrobe - THE MAXI SKIRT
The only adjustment I've had to do wearing a maxi skirt and being pregnant, that before I would wear it at my waist...now that I don't have a waist, I wear it right below my boobs (empire waist).
Wearing it this way really accentuates the baby bump - be proud of it - show it off.  A-line skirts work wonders as well

Wear with a tank top for a casual summer look or a long sleeved blouse :)
My blouse doesn't actually button up, or shall I say button all the way down :D so I just tied it into a knot.

5. Short loose dress - Go for a single colour ( pick a basic one) This way you can change the look up easily with different accessories.

This Forever21 black dress with double straps is one of my recent buys (only 12 pounds). It has already become one of my favorites.

Flat sandals and laid back accessories for a Day look

Add some colour :) don't be shy

Heels and bling with a clutch bag for a summery date night

Don't go too short though, because having that baby bump will take even more inches off the dress. You don't want to end up showing your private parts to the world with a smallest gush of wind.

And you can always go for a lighter colour :) This dress is also from Forever21 and was about as much as the black one.

Casual look with a cardigan

Fancy it up with wedges and a blazer

Hello baby bump :D

6. Maxi dress - This is the piece in your wardrobe that will serve as a whole outfit. Just bring along a little cardigan for when the day turns to night. Not the little one with buttons though...don't flatter yourself...you can't wear everything that's not maternity :D it will look ridiculous with the buttons popping open.

Go for empire waist or just stretchy top part.

Why not add a leather jacket for when the garden party turns into a night out in the pub ( of course no alcohol for you...or me )

7. A Blazer with no buttons. The ones that are already tailored without will fit much better. They are just designed to fall the way your bump will peek out from the middle :)

This piece is so versatile. I have been wearing my River Island one all through my pregnancy and will continue to do so.

8. Cardigan - For summer I go for lighter colour, but go for whatever colour will work with the rest of your wardrobe. But remember those buttons if you do go for a tighter cut. I like them loose fit , just wear a fitting tank top underneath so the look wouldn't feel too bulky. We don't need to feel even more heavier than we already are :D

Add it to you casual outfits during the chillier summer nights or cover your sholders from the blazing sun.

9. Tank Tops and T-Shirts. In every colour :D I have about 20 of them and they have worked for me throughout those 7 months and will hopefully work for those last 2 as well. I do recommend buying the longer cut though as I've noticed that with the ones I bought pre-pregnancy my belly is peeking out from the bottom...

10. On top of all of the favorite pieces on the list there is always this one statement outfit  that you go back to when you just can't decide. This is different for everyone, and it is something that will either make you feel incredibly comfortable or sexy or summery.
If you don't think you've got one, think of the things you wear the most.
For me it's actually my shorts and lazer combo. It has worked for me in the past and it will work in the future because it's tried and tested.
So whenever I'm stuck with finding an outfit this is what I'll end up going for usually :)

Hope you got some inspiration to make your wardrobe work for you so you can spend those saved pounds you would've normally spent on maternity clothing on your little one.
I have to say that none of these pieces really were maternity, and I am actually 7 months and 2 weeks pregnant, so it is possible.

Let me know if you think I've missed anything :) And if you need any extra information about the looks :)

xoxo
